Hailing from Lansdale, Pennsylvania – just outside of Philadelphia – I am a junior majoring in chemistry, with minors in mathematics and physics. While chemistry is generically known as ‘the central science,’ I really do enjoy its connections with nearly every other field of science. Through Draper, I hope to raise awareness about chemistry outside of an academic setting, both this year and in the future. Personally, I am very interested in methodology and applications of theoretical chemistry and am currently pursuing research in molecular dynamics under the advisement of Professor Mark Tuckerman. My other interests include illustration, comic books, and the Rubik’s Cube.Rahul.jpg

Born and raised in Queens, New York, my passion for chemistry (and science in general) developed when I went to high school at the Bronx High School of Science. I am a Junior majoring in chemistry and am simply fascinated by how things work. My passion has evolved not into research itself, but the desire to motivate and inspire others to join our quest to expand our knowledge of chemistry and how the universe works, which is why I feel a special connection to tutoring students in chemistry, especially at the University Neighborhood High School. I studied abroad in London last Spring and am delighted to be back at Draper and here in this more involved capacity.
