New NYU Club: The Organization for Applied Research Science - first meeting 3/25 Sunday, March 22, 2009

The first general meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 25th, in Meyer 102 at 6:20 PM. Students interested in research and specifically, in more holistic fields such as applied mathematics to engineering and other cross-over ideas are encouraged to be a part of this new organization.Some more information about OARS:The Organization for Applied Research Sciences at NYU has recently been formed with the mission of promoting interdisciplinary undergraduate research in the wide spectrum of applied scientific study. The future of scientific innovation will depend largely on advances made by the partnerships of all disciplines, with contributions from both academia and industry. This club aims to expose undergraduate science majors to open-ended research problems provided by industry sponsors.
