University Neighborhood HS Tutoring UPDATE Thursday, October 23, 2008
Posted by Garrett Lew in : Announcements,News,Volunteering , comments closedWant to help high school students struggling in chemistry? The Draper Chemical Society has had a long standing relationship with the University Neighborhood High School (UNHS) and is coming back this semester with a focus on lab classes. Volunteers will go down to UNHS in Chinatown and help the chemistry teachers during one of two lab periods. Tutors will assist students with the experiment and post-lab reports. For the lab sections Fridays between 9:49-10:39AM are when tutors would be appreciated.
There is another period for help in the AP Chemistry class that is a longer period. The AP Chemistry class needs help on Thursdays from 12:15-1:40PM.
This is a perfect opportunity to open students to the world of chemistry. If you are interested, please email garrett@drapersociety.org with days and which lab section you could attend. Volunteers can start as soon as possible.
