They have run into a unique situation where one of the Agencies has an office in Jamaica New York and they can not provide a student from our institutions to fill that position (most of our members are located in the South, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, and Southwest regions).

The Senior Programs Manager, Lamont Clark, is reaching out to New York institutions in order to see if they can fulfill the request of this agency. (more…)

Tutoring Opportunity at NYU STEP Program

Posted by Garrett Lew in : Announcements, Volunteering , comments closed

Here at NYU, the STEP Program tutors high school students from around New York City who want some added help.  Students require help mathematics and the sciences.  These students are motivated, as they had to apply for this program.  This is a great opportunity to help students who want to learn and perhaps even open their eyes to the subjects we love so much.  The STEP Program meets on Saturdays from 9AM to 2PM at NYU and has a morning and afternoon session.  Volunteers would tutor during either the morning session or afternoon session, or both if possible, and would start in late October.

If you are interested in tutoring at the STEP Program, email Garrett at garrett@drapersociety.org.
