For Current Juniors: On Campus Recruitment for Post-Graduation Employment Tuesday, April 8, 2008

Dear Class of 2009 Graduates:

Fall will be here before you know it! If you plan on finding a job after graduation, the early stages of your job search process should begin now. This email contains lots of important information. Please read through the details thoroughly.

Many industries start recruiting Class of 2009 graduates in August. That means that it is time to register for the On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) program. To participate in the On-Campus Recruitment Program and to apply for jobs through NYU InterviewNet, there are 3 requirements:

1) Attend an OCR Orientation (a list of upcoming seminars is below).
2) Attend an Interviewing Skills seminar given by Career Development.
3) Sign up for the OCR listserv by sending a blank email from your NYU home account to join-career-ocr@lists.nyu.edu.

We STRONGLY recommend that you attend an orientation BEFORE you leave for the summer to ensure that you do NOT miss early resume submission deadlines.

If you have already participated in internship OCR, you do not need to attend another orientation. You will have access to start applying to full-time positions in August. Please check your email for updates this summer.

All seminars will take place at 133 East 13th Street, 2nd Floor. To reserve your space, please log in to your NYU CareerNet account and click “Events” and then “Seminars.” Walk-ins are not accepted.

IF YOU PLAN TO STUDY ABROAD DURING THE FALL SEMESTER

If you plan to study abroad during the fall semester of your final year, you MUST attend an OCR orientation prior to departure. We cannot conduct orientations by phone. If you are currently studying abroad during the spring semester, you MUST attend an OCR orientation before classes begin. Log in log into your NYU CareerNet account and click “Events” and then “Seminars” each month for the most updated seminar schedule.
